Today I’d like to share with you a story of transformation that might reflect some truths for you and help you to fully own your inner light.

Recently I had a client who felt her purpose was to bring more light into the world and help with awakening people to their True Selves. She wanted to bring this intention through her work. Let’s call my client Sarah.

Things were taking off for Sarah in her career and big opportunities were coming her way, yet when big success was near, she would get really anxious and fear that self-sabotage would kick in, as it had done in the past.

When we looked into Sarah’s subconscious beliefs, we came across a time in her childhood where she had learned that if she did shine her light in the world, her mum would feel really bad about herself and there would be negative consequences for Sarah...

Therefore the belief was formed “If I shine my light people get hurt”.

Throughout her life, anytime Sarah was fully shining her light and success was right on the brink, her subconscious would jump in and say “NO, WE DON’T DO THAT”, anxiety would follow, then she would pull back and shrink away. Leading to big missed opportunities!

We did the belief work and cleared that pattern and rewrote it to “I give myself permission to shine my light in the world”. Once this new belief system was integrated, Sarah’s eyes lit up, she had chosen to step up and totally owned her light … her energy had completely changed. 

The woman in front of me was now certain of her purpose, strong, confident and ready to go out and do what she came here to do… and rock it at that!

I feel like this is a story that is relevant to most light-bringers. You have a bright light within you that shines, and maybe you have dimmed that light to “fit in”, to spare someone’s feelings or even to protect yourself.

If part of this story rings true for you. I invite you now choose to let go of your own version of that story and give yourself permission to shine your light in the world.

You can repeat the following mantra to support this process: “I give myself permission to shine my light in the world”.
